Returns will be accepted in outside book drops

Important Details Below

• The library currently has several thousand items on loan in the community Please do NOT leave materials if the book drop is full.  Keep them for return at a later date
• No donations accepted at this time
• Please help us by leaving adult and teen materials in the upstairs book drop and children’s materials in the downstairs book drop.
• Building will remain locked to the public.
• Please check your account and remove any holds you no longer want.
• All returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in. Fines on Edith Wheeler Memorial Library materials will be waived from March 20th through June 30th.
• If you or a member of the household where library materials were used has been ill or diagnosed with Covid-19, please do not return items at this time. Please contact library staff for further instructions – all health information will be kept confidential.
• Interlibrary delivery service is not currently available; interlibrary loans (ILL) and non-EWML items will not be transported to the lending library immediately and may incur fines according to the fee structure and policies of the lending library. You may wish to check with the ILL lender to see if they are accepting returns at their facility. If possible, return materials belonging to other local libraries  directly to those locations.
• EWML is looking to restart the Library-to-Go curbside service sometime in the next few weeks. When it becomes available, we will send another communication sharing the details.
